God versus Mage - Battle of the Sky!

Most Erebos mages had been looking forward to this for days, it was the time for two of their own mages to go head to head in a fight, and it was about time that they had seen both of their resident Wind users finally go head to head to prove which was stronger. The aqua arena had been the place for this fight apparently, a large arena which was around 80% water. The only place that was actually able to be walked upon was a large strip of land that ran right through the middle of the arena, like a line dissecting it into two. On each side was a shaded entrance into the arena, where the combatants would enter the arena to fight. Currently it held two of the strongest mages in Erebos. The stands were built high above the arena in this one, mainly for safety reasons. The stands towered above everything else, giving them a perfect view of what would happen.
"Welcome, folks, to an Erebos-only match! That's right, two of the dark mages from Erebos have decided to finally pitch their wits, mettle and skills against one another in the arena today, and both of which are wind mages! But surely that would leave our resident sky god with a huge advantage over his opponent? Well, we'll just have to see how Riza handles herself in today's arena brawl!"

In his entrance to the arena, Haruna was walking through, this time actually determined to win. Not because he was being promised anything, but because he was fighting a cute girl. That made him happy, he was going to be able to have fun with this one, see how far he could push her before she surrendered. Not that he was going to be too hard on her, he doubted the master would like that very much, but he didn't want this to be any old match. After all, when was he going to be able to fight another wind mage? Walking out into the arena, he flipped his fedora over in his hand and put it down over his head, hiding his face under the brim.
"In this corner, the god of the winds of north, east, south and west, it's Haruna Karmichalls!" Haruna strode into the arena, before moving to stand on one of the higher rocks of the platform, calmly confident.

Was this really a wise choice, Riza? Gazing onto the currently-empty strip of a fighting stage, she found herself questioning her reasons for agreeing to the match. Her face was the picture of calm, but the inner turmoil brewing inside her made her a little uneasy. He is supposedly a god slayer - and he's wind based... With a rough shake of the head, she dispelled such thoughts.

"Well, we'll just have to see how Riza handles herself in today's arena brawl!"

Scoffing, the twenty-two year old crossed her arms. "Yeah, you'd like to see how easily my ass gets kicked," Riza muttered, glaring up at where she supposed the announcer to be seated. After a slight pause, the announcer introduced her opponent - Haruna Karmichalls. The name sent an unwelcome shiver down Riza's spine. Whispers had flitted about the halls of Erebos' castle, and Riza honestly didn't like what she heard. Immortal. Her fists clenched at the thought and, not awaiting to be introduced, she stepped out onto her own platform (which was really a rock, of sorts).

"And here she comes now! Guess she's grown a little impatient to begin the match." The announced chuckled to himself - Riza assumed he felt a small amount of pity towards the girl at an element disadvantage with a god.

"She's a force of nature to be reckoned with - don't get on her bad side or you may find yourself hit with a sudden gale wind! One of our treasured Erebos ladies - Miss Riza Wilder!"

Cringing at the sound of her last name, Riza took another step forward. Curse the damned guildmaster for knowing that name... She let her eyes roam around the arena - water was everywhere. It was a delight to find that it was cleanly, however, for if it had been stagnate filth, Riza would have wilted on the inside. Returning her attention to the match, she glanced at Haruna. The supposed immotral.

Raising an eyebrow, she wondered if he would begin the festivities or if she would be left to start them off.

There was something wrong with this match, he could tell it from the very beginning. She hadn't acted like a normal combatant would. She had walked out before she'd even been called out. That meant two things; She either wasn't sure how this entire thing worked and moved out just as soon as he had, or she was impatient. If the latter was true, this was likely personal. He sighed with irritation, perhaps this wouldn't be so much fun after all. Why did people have to make fights like this personal, it was supposed to be fun. There was no fun when they started being all insensitive and taking every blow personally. Still, he had to admit, she was quite a looker. His eyes traveled her body appraisingly. He wondered, seriously, why he had not payed more attention to her before. He tended to meet most of the attractive guys and girls in his guild, after all he was one of the original members. Now he was stuck here fighting her decided to see how much he could mess with her. He made it deliberately obvious that he was checking her out before he raised eight fingers

"Eight out of ten, you might want to color co-ordinate your clothes better." he teased, a cheeky smile crossing his face, a little twinkle of mischief behind his eyes before he moved to a more secure location, his hands on his guns in his holsters. He wouldn't use them until she attacked, he wanted to know how strong his opponent was going to be.
"Since I'm a gentleman, I'll let you throw the first blow."

Scowling, Riza hopped down from her platform and onto the arena floor. A soft tap tap sounded as her soles met the stone, and she took a moment to stretch her arms in front of her. She took even breaths, attempting to control her whirlwind of emotions. Don't let him get to you, she told herself. He's the enemy.

Taking a few steps back, she gazed up at Haruna. "Are you coming or not? If you'd like to go ahead and surrender, be my guest. I don't plan to let a minor elemental setback determine my fate." She listened to the water lapping against the stones for a moment, but then she exhaled loudly. "Right. I go first."

Riza wasn't one for these planned matches - she preferred the rush of the moment - adrenaline, if you will. With these scheduled meetings, she felt nothing other than impatience tinged with boredom. Closing one eye, she surveyed the area. A few people dotted the stands above, but not so much to make her nervous. Clicking her tongue, she whispered zoom, enjoying the cool tingle enveloping her body. Without hesitation, she sprinted towards Haruna's side of the arena, pulling out her twin fighting fans in the process. She jumped up to Haruna's level and, upon hitting the ground, pushed herself forwards and slashed at him diagonaly twice with each fan.
